bascially in all forums it means to bring your post to the top, many feel they must do this if it goes off the 1st page.. or if they just feel it isn't getting attention. Excessive bumping = spam though.

Then there is the famous "stealth bump" or "ninja bump" where you post in a thread to bump it to the top, and then quickly delete your reply to cover your tracks.
